Performance and Trim Levels

Once you find the vehicle you want, you have more options with the different trim levels. These trims have different standard and available features and packages. The new Nightshade Special Edition and Trail Edition packages are available on certain trim levels. These packages focus on the Toyota Tundra's looks. The six trim levels on the 2021 Toyota Tundra include:

  • SR
  • SR5
  • Limited
  • Platinum
  • 1794 Edition
  • TRD Pro

Every Toyota Tundra gets its power from a 5.7L V8 engine that puts out 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. This engine gets paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. A rear-wheel drive is standard across the board, but a four-wheel drive is an available option if you want it. When properly equipped, the Toyota Tundra has a towing capacity that maxes out at 10,000 pounds.

Design Features

The Toyota Tundra's bed comes in three configurations, including the Double Cab, the Crew Cab, and the biggest CrewMax. The size of the beds depends on the cab you get. The Double Cab has a 5.5-foot bed, the Crew Cab has a 6.5-foot bed, and the CrewMax has an 8.1-foot bed. This is plenty of length to haul your work materials or any furniture. If you are towing a trailer around, the integrated trailer brake controller allows you to activate the trailer brakes automatically or manually for better performance. The new Trial Edition package on the SR5 trim level upgrades the exterior. Upgraded 18-inch wheels come with all-terrain tires. A lockable storage box in the bed adds more cargo space.

The interior has many comfortable features that make any long road trip even better. The Toyota Tundra fits up to six passengers. No one will be squished in the Double Cab with 42.5 inches of legroom in the front seats and 34.7 inches of legroom in the second-row seats. The CrewMax offers more with 42.5 inches of legroom in the front and 42.3 inches of legroom in the back. The leather-trimmed seats are very sleek. They have available heated and ventilated options. The seats can be upgraded to bucket seats for more lumbar support. You can also upgrade the steering wheel to have leather upholstery on it. The available dual-zone automatic climate control matches the temperature outside to the front and back. The moonroof makes even nighttime drives more magical when you can feel the night breeze on your skin.

Modern Technology Features

The standard 7-inch touchscreen on the dashboard displays several convenient features like a navigation system. Connect your smartphone device to the touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. This feature allows you to play your music or podcasts and access your contacts and addresses. Rock out hard to your music with the standard six-speaker audio system or upgraded nine-speaker audio system. The available Premium Audio with Navigation package on the SR5 trim adds two USB charging ports, so you do not have to worry about your phone losing power on long road trips.
