Why the 2017 Toyota Tacoma May be your Next Dream Car

The 2017 Toyota Tacoma is three things: strong, reliable and versatile. It’s no wonder it continues to be the best-selling midsize truck in the U.S., and it doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Marion, Mansfield, Findlay, Lima and Bucyrus, Ohio drivers know they can trust the Tacoma’s decades-long reputation as being competent and dependent whenever its driver needs it the most, and its variety of styles and prices are just the icing on the cake.

What’s New on the 2017 Toyota Tacoma?

The TRD Pro model is back. The off-road-ready version comes equipped with extra gear to make the Tacoma even more proficient. There is also now a standard appearance package on SR5 V6 models.

Kelley Blue Book also praised the 2017 Toyota Tacoma, which starts at $24,320, for its hidden storage spots underneath the back seats, and the rear seats that fold flat to form a handy cargo shelf. The Multi-Terrain Select tool was also a big hit with KBB. It automatically matches the terrain (snow, ruts, etc.) to the proper transmission, throttle and brake settings.

What’s Under the Hood?

The base engine in the 2017 Toyota Tacoma is a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder, a tried-and-true member of the Tacoma lineup. It can power the rear wheels (2WD) or all four (4WD) via its six-speed automatic transmission, with a five-speed manual available on 4WD models.
